Senior Installation Analysis Engineer Offshore Cables Jan De Nul Group offers specialised services for the installation of subsea structures for the oil, gas and renewable energy markets. Seabed preparation, dredging of trenches, as well as their stabilisation and ballasting, belong to the offshore services. For the Cables department, we are looking for an Installation Analysis Engineer.
As Installation Analysis Engineer you simulate and detail the execution methods with the aid of finite elements simulation software combined with in-house developed scripts. The models are processed and documented in analysis reports in preparation for the works. You will do this in consultation with the Senior/Expert Installation Analysis Engineer.
Your tasks and responsibilities include:
Interpret and analyse the design parameters, the standards, the execution methods… for the assigned projects
Draw up a detailed analysis of installation methods
Point out problems and bottlenecks
Assist the Project Manager / Operations Manager in terms of technical issues
Provide implementation variants
Perform hydrodynamic installation analysis for different subsea products (eg. Subsea cables, flexible products, subsea structures etc..) for tenders and projects, and support for ongoing offshore operations.
Profile Profile
You're an engineer with 5 years of relevant experience and affinity for installation methods in the construction or offshore sector. You're an organisational talent and highly independent. You have strong analytical skills and you work very detailed.
Understanding of hydrodynamic aspects of marine structures, wave theories, line dynamics, etc. is beneficial but not a must. Also knowledge and experience with OrcaFlex, and programming languages such as Python is beneficial.
You'll work from the office in Aalst, but make short trips abroad on a regular basis.
