Are you a seasoned communications professional seeking a pivotal role to amplify the brand and influence of a premier think tank in Europe? The Centre on Regulation in Europe (CERRE) is calling upon dynamic, high-level candidates like you to spearhead our communication endeavours and push boundaries in shaping the discourse on technology, media, telecom, energy, sustainability, and mobility regulation.
As the Head of Communications, you will be the driving force behind designing and executing compelling strategies that not only expand CERRE's visibility but also magnify the influence of our work on the European and global stage.
Your responsibilities: mastering the communication symphony
Joining the management team and reporting to the Director General, you will:
Devise and execute an all-encompassing communications strategy, orchestrating diverse online and offline activities such as events, social media initiatives, and media relations;
Position CERRE as a global reference in the regulation of network and digital industries through effective corporate communications;
Cultivate enduring relationships with media outlets, pitch compelling stories and interviews, and craft impactful press releases, opinion pieces, blogs, etc;
Lead a dedicated team to deliver seamless communication and events activities, including successful launches of CERRE's research projects;
Oversee content quality across various channels, ensuring consistency in messaging, and enhance CERRE's identity through creative digital content;
Manage the production of diverse communication materials, from reports to podcasts and videos, maintaining the highest standards;
Drive the development, promotion, and delivery of high-profile events involving key stakeholders.
Your profile: the ideal maestro/a
We seek a candidate with:
8-10 years of experience in leading communication programs, ideally within public affairs agencies, think tanks, NGOs, or industry associations;
Exceptional written and spoken English skills; proficiency in French and/or German is advantageous;
Ability to distil complex economic, legal and technical material into compelling communications;
Strong media relations experience with a wide network of relevant journalists;
Proven experience in motivating and leading teams to achieve ambitious results;
A creative mindset, outstanding interpersonal skills, and the ability to thrive and cooperate in a dynamic team environment;
Precision, attention to detail, and a demanding yet supportive approach.
