Position Summary:
The goal of the Senior Consultant is to contribute to the development of our activities in Belgium, as well as project execution. Tasks are varied and include business prospecting, thematic research, data analysis, and preparation of deliverables related to greenhouse gas inventories and sustainable development strategy. You will be responsible for managing small to medium-sized projects and will collaborate on larger projects.
Main tasks & responsibilities:
Support or lead the preparation and completion of proposals and deliverables for corporate clients on topics such as GHG accounting, emissions and sustainability management and decarbonization strategy
Coordinate and deliver technical and administrative projects to support the growth of the company in Belgium, Europe and beyond
Manage small to medium sized projects, including client and project team interaction
Ensure tasks and projects are delivered on time and within budget
Advance development of specialized skills, tools, knowledge, and services related to Agendi’s focus areas
Creation and delivery of business development materials
Research the market and build commercial relationships
Requirements:
Masters level university degree in a subject emphasizing environment / sustainability, e.g., Environmental Sciences or Engineering, Economics or other related disciplines
Minimum 4 years full-time, progressive, professional experience in a sustainability related field, managing projects from start to finish
Strong knowledge of sustainability reporting directives (CSRD, EU taxonomy, Climate risk assessment, double materiality, TCFD, etc.)
Relevant knowledge of emissions management and/or sustainability challenges in the corporate sector
Ability to conduct high quality research tasks
Ability to analyze and summarize data to high standards
Strong quantitative and analytical skills
Strong writing skills, with the ability to create high-quality written documents (proposals and deliverables), experience delivering PowerPoint decks beneficial
Strong communication skills, with the ability to present and communicate to clients and other external stakeholders, representing the company to the highest standard
Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications, including excel and PowerPoint
Ability to work independently, and collaboratively
Strong prioritization and time management skills
Fluency in English. Knowledge of Dutch and/or French strongly preferred.
