Consultant – EU Climate and Environment Policy Do you want to support policy development and implementation at the EU level, supporting the transition of Europe towards a sustainable future? Do you have a specific interest and knowledge of the energy transition, carbon markets, decarbonisation of the building sector and the industry or in environmental policies such as nature protection and nature restauration? Your new role
As our new Consultant, you will be part of a young, dynamic and growing team working with EU institutions and stakeholders on topics related to climate, energy and environment policy. We have strong and growing pipeline of interesting projects in the above fields and are looking to reinforce our team and are recruiting for two consultants to join us in Brussels .
Your key responsibilities will be:
Actively taking part in projects and consulting assignments for European institutions in climate, energy and environment fields
Planning and executing data collection and evidence gathering activities, qualitative and quantitative analysis, stakeholder consultations, strategy and planning processes
Contributing to robust analysis and compelling report writing
Participating in meetings with clients and partners, to present methodological choices and study findings
Identifying and developing new opportunities, including by coordinating and drafting proposals
Your new team
You will be part of Ramboll Management Consulting Belgium. Our multidisciplinary and multilingual team is based in Brussels and works closely with the EU institutions to foster the green transition. We work on projects that combine policy advice and design, with deep technical expertise. You will work continuously with our colleagues across Ramboll and have access to a global pool of technical expertise in Ramboll Group throughout Europe and worldwide .
About you

Whilst we look forward to supporting your continued learning and development, for this role we have identified some qualifications, skills, and capabilities that will set you up for success.
These include:
Masters degree in energy & climate policy, economics, environmental sciences, sustainability studies or related discipline
Experience in consulting, research, policy work or similar, preferably at EU level
Experience collecting and analysing quantitative and qualitative data, and in drafting coherent and compelling analytical texts, with a strong attention to detail
A keen interest in working for public sector clients; interest in also collaborating with the industry and business on sustainability topics will be a plus
Excellent command of English, both written and oral, and ideally fluency in at least one more EU language
Specific interest and knowledge of the following topics: energy transition, carbon markets, decarbonisation of the building sector and the industry, climate adaptation, nature restauration
